Right to Information

As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, the Water Resources Commission (WRC) actively supports public access to information in line with the Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989). We collect, manage, and make available key data on Ghana’s water resources—ensuring that individuals, researchers, institutions, and the general public can access relevant, timely, and accurate information.

Our Information Officer is available to assist applicants in submitting RTI requests. Whether it’s data on groundwater, water quality, basin reports, or policy documents, we are dedicated to facilitating access in a fair and efficient manner.

The WRC ensures all requests are handled within the stipulated timelines and in accordance with the provisions of the RTI Act, while respecting legal exemptions and privacy requirements. We also educate the public on their right to access information and guide them through the proper procedures for making requests.
