The Water Resources Commission in collaboration with Dutch Water Authority on the Blue Deal Project engage Luhuese and Obane primary and JHS teachers along with other relevant stakeholders on Citizen Science in Natural Resource Management as part of the project’s objective to educate and sensitize students on the management and conservation of Natural Resources within the Songor Ramser and UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve  as well as its neighbouring communities’.

‘Primary and JHS students were also engaged on the importance of Mangroves in the ecosystem. Students were asked in groups to sketch the importance of Mangroves to ascertain their knowledge and understanding of the the benefit of the Mangrove ecosystem.
