Who we are

The Water Resources Commission (WRC) is Ghana’s lead institution for water resources management, dedicated to ensuring sustainable and equitable use of the Ghana’s surface and groundwater. We are guided by integrity, transparency, teamwork, and a commitment to protecting Ghana’s water resources for current and future generations.

Our foundation is built on collaborating with stakeholders, government agencies, and international partners to develop effective policies for water conservation, pollution control, and transboundary cooperation. With a strong focus on coordination, monitoring, and regulatory oversight, we uphold the principles of responsibility, honesty, and respect in all aspects of our work.

At WRC, we believe in the power of water as a vital resource for national development and well-being. Through rigorous planning, policy implementation, and scientific research, we strive to create a future where Ghana’s water resources remain protected, accessible, and efficiently managed for all.
